Standing in front of the dye pots, thinking about Kate and the Last Homely House (Find her here on Youtube: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCpWKp6lHakdUNsy49_TLDzA) and the wonderful community that has been created there on the lime green sofa - you know the one that extends right out and it has pink cushions and little footstalls and an array of amazing people all gathered snuggled and budged up, eating and sharing snacks and excellent conversations! (Even the Queen is there!) As I had been thinking this and busy doing, this came out of the dye pot!
Poldale superwash sock yarn (400m per 100g) is 80% wool and 20% Nylon. Poldale is a blend which is comprised of wool from both Polwarth and Corriedale sheep.
The fibre is soft, strong and perfect for socks, shawls and accessories.
All our skeins are hand-dyed in small batches using a range of professional acid dyes. We are conscious to be environmentally sound in our process and we, therefore, ensure that all the dye used is fully exhausted. We rinse the skeins until no colour remains, however, please be aware that a slight amount of colour bleed could occur and so we always suggest washing separately and by hand.
All indie dyed yarns are unique by virtue of the techniques used. This means that no two skeins will ever be exactly the same - the charm of indie dyeing!
